Building a Resilient Future

Key Policy Highlights
1. Fiscal Responsibility & Inflation: Varian advocates for ending "out of control" government spending to curb inflation. He believes that prudent fiscal management is essential to keep local prices stable for everyone, especially those on fixed incomes.
2.Social Security Solvency: A primary goal is ensuring Social Security remains solvent by identifying and reducing government waste while increasing revenue streams that do not involve cutting benefits for seniors.
3."Fuel the Build" Infrastructure: His infrastructure plan focuses on high-quality, resilient construction—building roads and power grids that are designed to last for generations and withstand environmental challenges.
4.Transparency & Accountability: Through the FL-14 Transparency Task Force, he aims to hold government officials to the same standards as citizens, ensuring tax dollars are spent effectively and ethically.

📢 Important Update: Fighting for Gas Price Relief in Florida
Dear Neighbors and Fellow Floridians,
As fuel prices at the pump surge towards $5 per gallon in many parts of South Florida, I am taking action to ensure our voices are heard in Tallahassee.
I have officially contacted Governor Ron DeSantis and my local state legislators to urgently call for an immediate Gas Tax Holiday.
With gasoline costs in Florida hitting record highs in early 2026—driven by rising prices that sting every time we fill up—it is time for our state leaders to utilize the budgetary surpluses to provide direct relief.
My Message to Tallahassee:
Urgent Action: Suspend the state gas tax now to alleviate the financial burden on working families, truckers, and commuters.
Use the Reserves: As gasoline exceeds $4—and in some places $5—it is "raining" for Floridians, and the state's budget reserves should be used to help ease this economic pressure.
Immediate Relief: A temporary, multi-month suspension of the ~25+ cent gas tax can provide significant relief at the pump.
I will continue to advocate for policies that make Florida more affordable, including Utilities. I encourage you to contact the Governor's office at (850) 717-9337 to demand relief.
Sincerely,
Keith Varian (Candidate for FL-14)
